Well, here we are on 27 May in sunny Balham, Gateway to the south. I came home late on Tuesday evening to be greeted by two very sniffy cats who wanted to know where I had been for ten days. Luckily a few "Dreamies" had them eating out of my hand. It was so wonderful to be in my own bed with fresh air through the window and no-one being sick in the next door bed! I am calling this phase the 3 Ns - No appetite, No energy and Nausea. I am spending most of the time sleeping. No visitors allowed due to risk of infection. Today I returned to St G's for more blood tests which were all tickety boo. Tomorrow I have a Covid test prior to going back as an in-patient on Monday to start the second bout of chemo. Hopefully they won't keep me in as long this time, and even more hopefully the third session will be in the Day Unit and then home. Fingers crossed. My mind is set to have a rather weird summer, mostly at home, while I go through the 12 sessions which will be once a fortnight. I hope I can hack it as there is no other option. It will be just like lockdown all over again and I shall be happy pottering in the garden. I lack for nothing - I have two freezers bursting at the seams and it is a short walk to "Uncommon", the cafe/deli opposite SDS who also sell fruit, veg, bread, milk etc. Numero Uno will even send meals by taxi if I suddenly get a penchant for one of their delicious dishes! At the moment, however, it is just chicken broth and dry toast. The Blog genius and I have not managed to get together yet to update the mailing list and so I realise this is going to a small % of the complete list, but we hope to put this right early next week. Meanwhile I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and I am happy as Larry (who was he?) pottering around amongst my clutter and 70 odd years of memorabilia. Love from Moi xxx
